I had some left-over sheet cake, so I made a quick Frankenstein Cake for my husband’s office. The cake is red velvet with cream cheese frosting colored green. The decorations are candy melts. The bolts are marshmallows dipped in chocolate.
We had some people over for dinner, so I made these for dessert. I made the skeleton using the Wilton Mold, and cut the coffin out of a brownie (that I made using a box-mix).
Dough: Pioneer Woman’s
Toppings: Chicken, onions and olives.
Meatloaf. Disguised as a Mummy. What else could you want? The eyes are made of cheese and the iris is half an olive.
I made this pre-halloween cake, with Aragog and his children as inspiration. Aragog in the center was baked in a large pyrex bowl, and ally the babies are cake pops.
Ingredients: Red Velvet Cake – Box Mix, Chocolate Buttercream Frosting with black food coloring
Decoration: Aragog’s eyes are white chocolate and the little spider have Wilton candy eyes. Mouths are jelly beans.Legs are black licorice strips.
We decided to do something different for Halloween. I saw this on Pinterest, and decided to make something similar.
I first drew them and cut them out of the newspaper and stuck them in the window to see if it would work. Then I traced them onto some black vinyl that I got from Walmart, cut them out again and stuck them in the window. Boom – window monsters.
I loved how they came out and the neighbors liked them too. Even two years later, when I tell people which house is mine, they’re always like “oh – the monster in the windows”.
