Anniversary Hoops

For Valentine’s Day this year, I made these two hoops for our two wedding anniversaries. We had a court wedding, followed by a Hindu Temple wedding. I got the idea from Etsy shops: ScarletPyjamas and loveandbeststitches and YouMakeMeSewHappy,  as well as Feeling Stitchy. Instructions for making your own can be found from Martha Stewart (of course).

I also made a bonus Snoopy mini-hoop. Patter

I want to go to there

Not a day goes by when I don’t bemoan the cancellation of 30 Rock, and quote my beloved Liz Lemon. Obviously I need to embroider my emotions.

I got the case for $2.50 from Urban Outfitters. Luckily it fit our GPS perfectly. If you have more money to spare, a much cooler version is available at Etsy.

Embroidery Floss Organization

I have lots of little pieces of embroidery floss that are left over from different embroidery kits. I’ve been saving them for small projects, and because embroidery floss is magic :D. I spent a few hours organizing this summer so that I could easily find colors I needed. I love how it turned out.
